All in fire mode unless noted otherwise:
FAC, Baker 1/5 and Baker MG sec in 12.13
Baker 1/5 and Baker MG sec in 12.12
All mortars plus Baker 1/5 and Baker MG sec in 14.12 (Inf platoon
and MG
Sec in move mode)
All the other forces set up in move mode in 15.12
The idea is for Baker to spot Arty fires into the followwing:
AT-18 (2x45mm AT), AT 1/18 (2x45mm AT), Eng 4th Div (1xplt (-2)):
7.14
AT 1/18 (AT sec), AT 4th Div (2x45mm AT): 6.13
1-1-18 (1xplt (-2)), 1xMG: 6.12
If the Americans move first, they would hopefully use the F-4U's
to
suppress or paralyze 7.14 and 6.12. Arty should suppress 6.13.
The
units in 15.12 should advance behind the hill to the buildings
to the
north (should take around three turns). By the time they are
in
position, the North Korean anti-tank weapons should be either
eliminated, retreated, or paralyzed. Once this units have been
rendered
ineffective, the armor units and two platoons from Able plus a
MG
Section can perform combined assaults against the NK infantry
platoons.
If there are any suppresed anti-tank wweapons, the tanks should
remain
in the relative safety of the buildings, and infantry from Able
company
should launch infantry assaults independently from the armor.
The units from Baker could advance on Hills 1102 and 109, but
this
depends greatly on the effectiveness of the fires against 7.14,
6.13,
and 6.12 (all matching the second bullet of rule 1.3c - Losing
Hidden
Staatus). If the Air Support was innefective, then Rapid Fire
Arty
missions should be employed.
The assault should commence at 1600 hours, with F-4U strikes before
launching the actual combined assaults. Hopefully the preparatory
barrages would make the actual assaults a lot less risky.
